Frequently Asked Questions

DOES ABC OFFER SYNDICATION SERVICES?
ABC does not offer any syndication services, but we offer the next best thing: a distribution system that is used by over 4,000 radio stations throughout the United States and Canada. This will facilitate the sale of your syndicated program to your potential affiliates. In addition, ABC works closely with all of the major syndicators in the radio marketplace and can offer top notch recommendations.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SATELLITE DISTRIBUTION?
You pay ABC for the satellite space segment needed to broadcast your program or programs. We charge on an hourly basis and offer discounts for multiple hours or long term commitments. Whether you have 2 stations/affiliates or 2,000, the per hour cost remains the same.

HOW MANY STATIONS HAVE YOUR RECEIVERS?
There are over 4,000 StarGuide III receivers that can receive the ABC StarGuide III signal. Most of the major networks, syndicated programs and their affiliates are capable of using one or all of our distribution channels.

WHAT TYPE OF COMMITMENT DO I HAVE TO MAKE?
We work on a standard one year commitment to services. We can also tailor a package based on the commitment desired. The longer the commitment, the lower the rate. We also offer testing periods ranging from one week to three months.

WHERE CAN I FIND A LIST OF STATIONS BY FORMAT?
There is no official list, but most of the syndicated programming throughout the country uses our system to get to the station in their network, reliably and professionally. Two sources that we use to get this information are M Street Publications at 615-251-1525 or 800-248-4242 and BIA Consulting at 703-818-2425 or kbrandt@biacompanies.com. Please be aware that neither of these services are free. ABC uses both of these companies but does not endorse the work of other vendors.
